United Kingdom: Travel disruptions expected on Heathrow Express
The Heathrow Express service in the UK’s capital, London, will be temporarily suspended from 24 December. The affected line, which operates between Paddington station and Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5 at Heathrow Airport, will be shut down due to scheduled maintenance and engineering work. Rail services are expected to resume on normal schedules from 29 December.
As a result of the suspension of the aforementioned service, an increased demand for other forms of transport to Heathrow Airport should be anticipated. Authorities are likely to implement contingency measures, including bus shuttle services, in order to limit the impact to travellers.
Clients planning on utilising the airport rail link service are advised to anticipate travel disruptions on the impacted days. Clients are also advised to monitor local media for developments and information on the upcoming disruptions.
If your travel plans are affected by the above or you require further information please contact your HRG Office.
