France – Pilots’ Strike May 14-19 Nationwide
Airline pilots in France affiliated with the National Union of Airline Pilots (SNPL – Syndicat National des Pilotes de Ligne) are planning to observe a strike action 0001 May 14-2359 May 19.
The industrial action will coincide with the parliamentary review of a controversial amendment to transportation law.
Unless averted the strike could result in significant disruptions to flight services of multiple airlines. Delays and cancellations are possible throughout the network. Longer processing times are likely at airports as passengers opt for alternative carriers. Overbooking may occur on alternative services. Residual disruption is possible following strike days as airlines work to clear any passenger backlog and reposition crew and aircraft.
Confirm the status of flights before setting out for the airport. Do not check out of accommodation until onward travel is confirmed. Arrive early at airports to allow extra time for processing and to prevent your seat being reallocated to a standby passenger. Consider rebooking on alternative carriers.
If your travel plans are affected by the above or you require further information please contact your HRG Office.
